The final dates for receiving Christmas commission request for 2021 are
UK – 21st November
International – 6th November.
Please note, I cannot make portraits for customers in Europe this year.
I am ever so sorry about this and I really wish that this was not the case.
Hello. Thank you for coming to my website with a view to getting a portrait of your dog.
Here is how it works.
Click the contact button here on this website (at the top) and send me an email to say that you would like a portrait. Your options are:-
£60 for an image that, when mounted, will fit into a 8 x 10 inch frame. The frame is not included but the image will be mounted and ready to pop into a frame. P&P for customers in the UK is included. £5 extra postage charge for those of you lovely people from other parts of the world.
£75 for an image that, when mounted, will fit into a 10 x 12 inch frame. The frame is not included but the image will be mounted and ready to pop into a frame. P&P for customers in the UK is included. £5 extra postage charge for those of you lovely people from other parts of the world.
I need about 7 images of your lovely dog. Full length images work best.
I charge no money up front, there is no deposit. Once I have created the image I shall email it to you. If you are happy with it, I shall add that image to my webstore to handle the payment and delivery details.
I send the images to you securely packaged and First Class (tracked) post using Royal Mail. UK customers normally receive their portrait a day or two after I have sent it. Those of you living farther away normally receive their artwork about 15-20 days after I have posted it.
How does that sound to you?
What makes good Photo reference?
The photos that I find the best to work from generally capture the whole dog in one shot. I love it when the dog is looking lovingly at the person holding the camera, too!!
If there are multiple dogs then it is fab if I can have a photo with them together or with something for size reference – an example of this would be the dogs in question near a football/soccer ball so that I can see their size in comparison to each other.
