I’ve dreamt about this day for twenty years. Holding my first book published by a major publishing house. I’ve been working towards it every day for ten years. Now it is here and I am so happy to be holding my book, It’s a Tough Job Being a Dog.

Here it is on the drawing table that I drew the images for the book on. The same drawing table that my Dad brought all the way from Kent to Bristol for me to have in my student house whilst I was doing my degree and dreaming about this day.

The book is 128 pages long. I’ve tried to fill it with as much doggie happiness as I possibly can.
There is mischief, muddiness and fun between these pages. I hope that you recognise some of the fun that you have with your own dogs in the mini stories that make up the book.

The lovely team at Harper Collins have worked so hard to bring my ideas to life in this book. The paper is think, the printing has been handled beautifully and I am so happy with it. It is also a hardback, with stitched signatures!! I hope that you will enjoy it a great deal.
